This page covers public troubleshooting scenarios for Enigm Link. It avoids internal operational procedures and focuses on user-safe guidance.

Update Does Not Appear

If an update does not appear:
  • Verify network connectivity.
  • Verify that the environment is protected.
  • Verify that Enigm Link is running from the official USB.
  • Restart the Enigm Link app.
  • Try again after the environment finishes protection checks.
Protected update routes are not public download surfaces. Updates are served only when required security conditions are satisfied.

Update Button Is Disabled

If the update button is disabled:
  • Wait for environment preparation to complete.
  • Verify VPN/protected-state status.
  • Close and reopen the app only if the state remains blocked for an extended period.
  • Retry from the platform currently running the app.
The update button should not become available before required validation steps are complete.

macOS Requests USB Or Disk Access

macOS can request access to the USB or disk because Enigm Link needs to validate the official USB, update files, and maintain official trust material. This prompt is expected in some macOS configurations.

macOS Requests Command-Line Tools

macOS can request command-line tools when file-hiding behavior uses platform utilities such as SetFile. This prompt can appear during auxiliary file hygiene. Canceling it should not prevent core Enigm Link usage.

Windows Shows A SmartScreen Warning

Windows can show a SmartScreen warning because the current Windows app is included without code signing. Users should run Enigm Link only from the official Enigm Link USB and official Enigm distribution channels. Copying the Windows app to a different USB or local folder does not create an official Enigm Link device.

Boot OS Does Not Connect To Wi-Fi

If Boot OS does not connect to Wi-Fi:
  • Verify that the Wi-Fi network is available.
  • Avoid switching networks while a connection attempt is in progress.
  • Retry from the Boot OS network UI.
  • Disconnect only when intentionally changing network or ending the connection.
Wi-Fi scanning should not disconnect an already active network.

Apple Silicon Does Not Show USB Boot

Enigm Link Boot OS USB is not supported on Apple Silicon in the current amd64 Boot OS release. Apple Silicon users should use the normal macOS Enigm Link app.

Environment Is Not Protected

If the environment shows protection required or not protected:
  • Verify network connectivity.
  • Verify VPN/protected-state status.
  • Verify that Enigm Link is running from the official USB.
  • Restart the app or Boot OS environment if status does not recover.
The environment should only be considered protected after required validation completes. See Platform Limitations.
